How Are Black Claw Tattoo Products Sterilized?Updated 7 months ago

Sterilization Method

All Black Claw Tattoo Products (cartridges, needles, and tubes) are sterilized via Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas. Each tattoo product is packaged and sterilized in individual blister packaging, with a  sterilization indicator, printed sterilization method and expiration date.

What Is Ethylene Oxide Gas?

Ethylene Oxide (also known as EO or EtO) gas is one of the most common ways to sterilize medical devices, a safe, tightly controlled, highly regulated process which is critical for preventing infections and ensuring patients have safe surgeries and medical treatments, and commonly tattooing as well.

EO gas sterilization is a low temperature gaseous process widely used to sterilize a variety of healthcare products, such as single-use medical devices. Through the use of a vacuum-based process, EO sterilization can efficiently penetrate surfaces of most medical devices and its lower temperature makes it an ideal process for a wide variety of materials.
